Italian Cheese Ball

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1 envelope Italian style dry salad dressing mix
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or more)

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Form into a ball, then chill. Serve with crackers.
