Glazed Strawberry Biscuits

Ingredients

Biscuits

  • 2 cups Bisquick or Biscuit Baking Mix
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup strawberry preserves

Vanilla Glaze

  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F.

Biscuits

  1. Mix Bisquick, sugar and butter until crumbly. Add milk; mix until dough forms. Beat 15 strokes. Put 1 tablespoon dough into each of 12 muffin cups; top with 1 teaspoon preserves; place remaining dough on top of preserves. Bake until golden brown, 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Remove from pan. While warm, spread with Vanilla Glaze.

Vanilla Glaze

  1. Combine all ingredients.
