Honey Custard French Toast
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 cup milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 12 slices French bread, each 3/4 inch thick
- Butter
- Honey and toasted pecan pieces for garnish, as desired
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat honey, milk, eggs, cinnamon and salt. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, turning to coat.
- Melt a little butter in a large skillet over medium heat and brown soaked slices, turning once to brown second side.
- Serve with additional honey and sprinkle with pecans, as desired.
