Czechoslovakian Cheesecake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 3 eggs, separated
• 1/2 cup cottage cheese, rubbed through a strainer
• 1 cup ground nuts
• 1/3 to 1/2 cup bread crumbs
• Jam
• Grated chocolate
• Nuts

Instructions

1. Cream butter with sugar and egg yolks thoroughly.
2. Blend in cheese and nuts.
3. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and bread crumbs.
4. Butter a springform pan and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
5. Spread the cake mixture over the crumbs.
6. Bake in a preheated 320 degree F oven for about 30 minutes.
7. When cake is cool, spread with jam and sprinkle with grated chocolate and nuts.
