New Orleans Praline Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 24 ounces cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Whipping cream
  • Pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients, mixing well. Press mixture into a 9 inch springform pan.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes.
  3. Beat cream cheese until smooth; gradually add brown sugar and flour, mixing well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract and pecans. Pour into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Let cool to room temperature on a wire rack.
  8. Refrigerate overnight.
  9. Remove sides of springform pan; top cheesecake with whipping cream and garnish with pecan halves.
