Preacher's Cake

Preacher's Cake is an extremely moist and very delicious cake.

Ingredients

Cake

• 2 cups granulated sugar
• 2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts
• 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice

Cream Cheese Frosting

• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 stick butter
• 1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Cake: Mix all ingredients together in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
3. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Frost if desired.
4. Cream Cheese Frosting: Mix together cream cheese and butter.
5. Beat in sugar, salt and vanilla extract.
