Chocolate Fudge
Posted by MelindaS at recipegoldmine.com April 2001
I have made this since I was 12 years old (30 years!) so you know it must
be easy. I like it because you don't have to use the dreaded candy thermometer
and it doesn't need refrigeration.
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
2 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix sugar and cocoa in a medium saucepan. Stir in butter, milk, and corn
syrup. Bring to a boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. (Add 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or
pecans if you like.) Pour into 8-inch square pan. Cut into squares.
Hope you like it!
