Apple Relish
12 red bell peppers
12 green bell peppers
12 medium apples
6 onions
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 pint vinegar
1 pint sugar
Grind coarsely peppers, apples and onions. Sprinkle salt generously. Cover
with boiling water and let stand 1 hour; drain well. Bring vinegar, sugar and
spices to a boil. Add apple mixture and boil 10 minutes. Seal in clean hot jars.
