Asparagus-Almond Casserole
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 medium cans asparagus
- 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- Cracker crumbs
- Butter
Instructions
- Melt 4 tablespoons butter. Add flour, salt and pepper until blended. Add milk. Place a layer of drained asparagus, half the cheese, half the almonds and half the sauce. Repeat once more. Sprinkle with crumbs and dots of butter.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
