Peppermint Muddy Buddies Bark

This pretty marbled bark would make a wonderful contribution to a holiday potluck or a hostess gift.

Peppermint Muddy Buddies Bark recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chex Mix® Muddy Buddies® Peppermint Bark, coarsely crushed
  • 1 (24 ounce) package vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), broken into sections
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper, foil or cooking parchment paper.
  2. Place vanilla coating in an 8 cup microwavable measuring cup or 2 quart microwavable casserole. Microwave uncovered on HIGH for 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until almost melted. Stir until smooth; stir in 3/4 cup of the cereal.
  3. Place chocolate chips in a 4 cup microwavable measuring cup or 2 quart microwavable casserole. Microwave uncovered on HIGH for 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until almost melted. Stir until smooth; stir in 3/4 cup of the cereal.
  4. Spread vanilla mixture on lined cookie sheet to 1/4 inch thickness.
  5. Spoon chocolate mixture randomly over vanilla layer; marble with knife to create swirls showing both white and dark chocolate (do not mix colors completely).
  6. Sprinkle with remaining cereal; pressing gently.
  7. Let stand for about 1 hour or until cool and hardened.
  8. Break into pieces.
  9. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
