Brownie and Blondie Recipes
Butter Pecan Brownies
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat (2 to 3 minutes). Add brown
sugar; mix well. Cool 10 minutes. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract. Add flour
and salt; mix well. Stir in pecans.
Spread batter into ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake for 22 to 27 minutes
or until set. Cool completely.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
Makes 36 brownies.
