Best Barbecue Cole Slaw

Yield: 8 to 10 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounce) packages finely shredded cabbage
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Combine cabbage and carrot in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk together the sugar and next 7 ingredients until well blended.
  3. Toss with the cabbage and carrot.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
