Low-Fat Pineapple Angel Food Cake

This cake is great for everyone, including those who do not need to watch their weight.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) box angel food cake mix
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the dry cake mix and the entire can of crushed pineapple with its juice. Stir well until all the dry mix is incorporated. The mixture will become very foamy.
  3. Bake for the time specified on the box for a 9 x 13 inch baking pan. When the sides pull away from pan and wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean, the cake is done, between 30 to 40 minutes.
  4. Remove pan from oven and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
