Meat Ball Recipes
Tamale Balls
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
3/4 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup flour
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
Grind beef and pork together twice. Add remaining ingredients and form into
small balls - about 150. Drop into sauce and simmer for 2 hours.
Sauce:
3 #2 cans tomatoes
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon chili powder
Heat ingredients together in large roaster. Let sauce come to a boil and drop
in balls. Simmer.
To serve, keep hot in chafing dish and pick up with wooden picks.
