Gorditas
Ingredients
- 2 cups Masa Harina
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Water (lukewarm), as needed
- 1 1/2 cups Longhorn cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Enchilada sauce
- Cheese, lettuce and onions
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients. Add enough water to make a dough — not too stiff and not too runny. Form into balls, then flatten into 3 inch diameter and 1/4 inch thick patties.
- Fry patties in hot oil until golden brown.
- Serve with enchilada sauce.
- Garnish with cheese, lettuce and onions.
