Dixie Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 8 pork chops
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
- 4 tart apples, cored, sliced into rings
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup seedless raisins
Instructions
- Brown chops in small amount of hot oil. Sprinkle with salt and sage. Place in casserole. Top with apple rings and sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Add flour to oil in skillet and stir constantly until brown. Add water and vinegar. Cook until thick. Add raisins.
- Pour mixture over chops. Cover.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
