Heavenly Pan Fried Pork Chops

You really don't need any breading to make great Heavenly Pan Fried Pork Chops. When you try these Fried Pork Chops, you will become a fan. These are great served with mashed potatoes and fresh veggies.

Heavenly Pan Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops cut 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon Hungarian paprika
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Trim fat from chops; pat dry.
  2. Combine seasonings; coat chops with seasoning mixture on both sides.
  3. Heat butter over high heat just until it starts to brown.
  4. Put chops in pan; reduce heat to medium.
  5. Fry on both sides until browned and cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Notes

To get that beautiful mahogany brown color, deglaze the skillet with about 1/4 cup hot water just before the pork chops are done, turning the pork chops over during the process.

This recipe is easily doubled or tripled. If you use thicker pork chops, your cooking time will increase.
