Gingered Pear Sorbet

1 (29 ounce) can pear halves
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

Heat 1 cup of syrup from the pears and the sugar until boiling. Cool. Place pear halves in blender and puree. Mix with syrup and other ingredients. Divide, freeze and shave.
