Peppermint Ice

1/2 cup candy canes or red striped peppermint candies, finely chopped
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 cup boiling water
3 cups half-and-half
Thawed, frozen whipped topping (optional)
Additional candy canes, chopped (optional)
Chop candies using Food Chopper; place candy pieces and sugar in Classic Batter
Bowl. Add boiling water and whisk using Stainless Steel Whisk until candy pieces
are completely dissolved. Whisk in half-and-half. Divide mixture evenly among 3
Ice Shaver Tubs; freeze until firm.
Remove frozen mixture from tubs; shave using Ice Shaver. Garnish each serving
with whipped topping using Easy Accent Decorator. Chop additional candies with Food
Chopper; sprinkle over each serving, if desired. Yields 8 servings.
