One Pot Spaghetti
Save some time! Cook the dry noodles right in the pot.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar or can store-bought sauce
- 4 cups chicken or beef broth, divided
- 1 bunch chopped fresh basil
- 1 clove finely chopped garlic
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Few sprinkles grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large Dutch oven or stock pot, brown ground beef over medium-high heat until cooked through.
- Drain and discard any excess grease, and add the beef back to the pot. Lower the heat to medium-low and add sauce, 1 cup chicken or beef broth and remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on medium-low for 15 minutes, stirring once to keep it from sticking.
- After 15 minutes of cooking, add 3 more cups of chicken or beef broth and 1/2 cup of water to the sauce; stir to combine.
- Break one pound of thin spaghetti in half, add to pot (making sure they are submerged), and raise the heat to medium-high.
- Bring it to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to low or medium-low for 15 minutes, stirring once to make sure it doesn't stick.
- After 15 minutes, check that the noodles are done, and serve immediately.
