Wagon Wheels with Meat Sauce
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Dash of cinnamon
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (No. 303) can tomatoes
- 1 package wheel pasta
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and beef. Cook, stirring beef until browned.
- Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, cinnamon and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook wheels according to package directions. Drain.
- Serve wheels topped with meat sauce and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
