Butterscotch Apple Pecan Cobbler
Yield: 10 to 12 servings
Ingredients
Filling
- 2 cups (12 ounce package) butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 1/2 pounds tart apples, peeled and diced
Topping
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 3/4 cup quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
Filling
- In a small bowl, combine butterscotch chips, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; set aside.
- Place apples in 13 x 9 inch baking pan; sprinkle butterscotch chips mixture over apples.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
Topping
- Combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until crumbly.
- Stir in pecans and oats; sprinkle over apple mixture.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until apples are tender.
- Cool slightly.
- Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
