Crispy Barbecue Onions recipe

Ingredients

Seasoned Flour

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons paprika

Onions

  • 1 pound onions, red or yellow, cut into 1/8 inch rings
  • Hot oil in fryer

Instructions

Seasoned Flour

  1. Mix all ingredients together.

Onions

  1. Toss onion slices in seasoned flour, separating rings.
  2. Deep fry in 365 degrees F oil until crispy and dark brown.
  3. Drain well.

Presentation

  1. Serve with steak, beans and barbecue sauce.
