Marshmallow Granola Bars

Yield: 24 bars

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 (10 ounce) package large marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cups granola with raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds or chopped peanuts

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with the 1 teaspoon butter.
  2. Put marshmallows and 1/4 cup butter into a large saucepan. Cook over medium low heat until marshmallows are melted, stirring all the time with a wooden spoon. Remove saucepan from heat.
  3. Stir in granola with raisins, crisp rice cereal and sunflower seeds or peanuts.
  4. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking pan. Press with buttered hands to make it even. Let mixture cool.
  5. Cut into bars with the knife.
