Blue Cornbread
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups blue cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 3 tablespoons bacon fat
- 1 small can green chiles, chopped
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine cornmeal, baking powder and sugar.
- Mix remaining ingredients separately.
- Add liquid mix to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into a greased 8 inch round or square pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
