Mango Dream Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix*
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup ripe mango puree
- 1/2 cup water
Topping
- 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup ripe mango puree
Instructions
Cake
- Combine all the ingredients and pour into a 9 x 13 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes until the cake is done.
Topping
- Combine all the ingredients and set in refrigerator until the cake is cooled. Do not remove the cake from the pan.
- Pour topping on cooled cake and return to refrigerator for 1 hour before serving for best results.
Notes
* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe.
