Dressing Squares


  • 1 (10-inch) skillet-baked cornbread
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 quart chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Crumble cornbread and mix all ingredients.
  2. Spread thinly on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Cut into 36 bite-size pieces and serve at room temperature.
