Always serve Angels on Horseback warm from the oven. They are not as good if they are cold. These can also be made on the grill. I have made them over a mesquite fire, and they're absolutely delicious.
Bake: 12 min | Yield: 12
Ingredients
12 shucked oysters
12 thin slices bacon or prosciutto
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
Heat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Set a wire rack into a small baking dish.
Mix salt, pepper, paprika and parsley. Sprinkle over each oyster. Wrap each oyster with a slice of bacon or prosciutto, and secure with a wooden pick. Set on the wire rack.
Bake until the bacon is crispy, 10 to 12 minutes, turning once.
