Hot Caramelized Onion Dip

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon oil
• 4 large sweet onions, sliced
• 4 ounces (1/2 of 8 ounce package) cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano, grated

Pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Melt the butter and heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the onions and slowly caramelize over medium-low heat.
2. Mix skillet contents and remaining ingredients and place in a baking dish.
3. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F oven until the top is nicely browned, about 30-50 minutes.
