Beer Cheese



  • 1 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 2 teaspoons minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce


  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a food processor or with an electric mixer.
  2. Pack the cheese into crocks or a bowl, and cover tightly. The cheese is best after at least a day's mellowing, and it keeps for a couple of weeks.
  3. Serve with crackers or bread.
