Tom and Jerry



  • 1 whole egg, separated
  • 1/2 jigger Jamaican rum
  • 1 teaspoon confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon powdered allspice
  • 1/4 ounce brandy


  1. Mix together yolk of egg, rum, sugar and allspice, then add white of egg which has been beaten to a stiff froth, and brandy.
  2. Divide this equally in two Tom and Jerry mugs.
  3. Add 1/2 jigger brandy to each.
  4. Stir piping hot water or milk into each mug and top with nutmeg.
