Chunky Watermelon Lemonade

Super refreshing on a hot summer day, Chunky Watermelon Lemonade is perfect for an outdoor barbecue or cookout.

Chunky Watermelon Lemonade

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups watermelon puree (put watermelon chunks in a blender)
  • 2 cups watermelon flesh (optional) for the "chunky" part
  • 1/4 cup raw sugar (or to taste)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 fresh lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a half-gallon pitcher with lid, mix 1 cup of the water with the sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the remaining water, watermelon puree, sliced lemon, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Mix well and chill thoroughly.
  3. For optional Chunky Watermelon Lemonade, stir in the 2 cups chopped watermelon at the end.
