Fish Club Punch
Fish Club Punch was popular in the Gay Nineties. It is also a specialty of Philadelphia's famed fishing and social club, the State, in Schuylkill, which was founded in 1732 during the reign of George II by a group of amateur anglers and cooks.
Ingredients
- 1/3 pint lemon juice
- 3/4 pound granulated sugar, dissolved in water
- 1/2 pint cognac
- 1/4 pint peach brandy
- 1/4 pint Jamaica rum
- 2 1/2 pints cold water
Instructions
- Mix well in a punch bowl surrounded with cracked ice.
