English Muffin Bread



  • 1 cup water
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons RED STAR Active Dry Yeast


  1. Have water at 80 degrees F and all other ingredients at room temperature. Place ingredients into the pan in the order listed.
  2. Select a basic cycle and medium/normal crust.
  3. If desired, during the last rising cycle, sprinkle top of dough with 1 teaspoon cornmeal.

Makes 1 loaf.
