Fried Corn Cakes
- 6 cups cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups sour milk or buttermilk
- Water, as needed
- Mix all ingredients, adding just enough water to make of the right consistency,
a very heavy batter.
- Fry in hot oil in skillet. Turn to brown other side.
Delicious with ranch beans. Can be eaten cold or hot.
