Cream Cheese Muffin Puffs

Yield: 10 to 12

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (10 ounce) tube refrigerated biscuits
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, cubed

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cinnamon and almond extract.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine butter and vanilla extract.
  3. Press biscuits into 3 inch circles.
  4. Dip cream cheese cube into butter mixture, then into sugar mixture. Place a cube in the center of each biscuit. Fold dough over cheese; seal well.
  5. Dip each filled biscuit into butter mixture, then in sugar mixture. place seam side down in ungreased muffin pan.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 to 18 minutes.
  7. Serve warm.
