Apple Butter Bread



  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins


  1. Combine flour, sugar, and cinnamon; set aside.
  2. Combine eggs, butter, apple butter, and milk; beat well.
  3. Stir in pecans and raisins.
  4. Add flour mixture, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  5. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 65 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove to wire rack and cool completely.
