Butterscotch Walnut Bread

Yield: 24 servings or 12 slices

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup walnut meats, chopped
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar, packed
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs well.
  2. Mix together ingredients in order given (sift flour before measuring).
  3. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 1/2 x 1/2 inch loaf pans.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden and tests done.
