Glazed Raspberry Loaf
Ingredients
Bread
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, cut up
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
- 3/4 cup milk
Glaze
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons raspberry jam
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Cut butter into flour mixture until it resembles coarse salt.
- Beat eggs in separate bowl; add jam and milk. Whisk until smooth.
- Stir jam mixture into flour mixture until no flour streaks show; batter will be lumpy.
- Pour into greased loaf pan; bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until an inserted wooden pick comes out clean.
- Let loaf cool before glazing.
- Make glaze.
- Drizzle over cooled loaf.
