Rhubarb Scones with Cinnamon Butter




  • 2 cups flour
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup rhubarb, diced small
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Cinnamon Butter

  • 1 3/4 ounces butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


  1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Scones: Mix all dry ingredients for the scones in a bowl.
  3. Add butter and chop together to a crumble.
  4. Add milk and quickly work to a dough.
  5. Mix the rhubarb pieces with the sugar and fold this into the dough. Drop the batter into muffin tins.
  6. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. Cinnamon Butter: Mix butter and cinnamon and serve with scones.

Makes approximately 12 scones.
