Rhubarb Scones with Cinnamon Butter
Yield: about 12 scones
Ingredients
Scones
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Dash of salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup rhubarb, diced small
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Cinnamon Butter
- 1 3/4 ounces butter
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Scones
- Mix all dry ingredients for the scones in a bowl.
- Add butter and chop together to a crumble.
- Add milk and quickly work to a dough.
- Mix the rhubarb pieces with the sugar and fold this into the dough. Drop the batter into muffin tins.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes.
Cinnamon Butter
- Mix butter and cinnamon and serve with scones.
