Herb and Spice Butters



  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed or 3/4 teaspoon fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil leaves or 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, boiled, drained and mashed


  1. To softened butter add 1 of the above ingredients.
  2. Mix well and refrigerate.
  3. Serve on appropriate breads.
