Texas Toast

Texas Toast is thick-sliced bread, anointed with sweet butter and garlic olive oil, grilled or griddled and served hot and crisp now THAT'S Texas Toast!

Instructions

  1. Heat a griddle to medium heat.
  2. Cut the bread into 3/4 to 1 inch thick slices.
  3. Combine the garlic oil and melted butter, and spread it on both sides of each piece of bread.
  4. Fry the bread until golden brown on each side.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

Tip from our bakers: This toast is traditionally prepared on an outdoor barbecue grill. If you've got your grill going, give it a try.
