Blueberry Coffeecake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

Topping

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sifted flour
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Glaze (optional)

  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla extract, milk, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and blueberries; mix and spread in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Topping: Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter together.
  4. Sprinkle on coffeecake batter.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
  6. Glaze after coffeecake has cooled, if desired.
