Sour Cream Breakfast Cake



  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts


  1. Cake: Cream first four ingredients well. Add baking powder, baking soda, flour and vanilla extract. Combine thoroughly.
  2. Pour half the batter into a greased Bundt pan.
  3. Sprinkle half the Topping over the batter in the pan.
  4. Pour on remaining batter and remaining Topping.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
  6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  7. Topping: Combine all ingredients.
