Orange French Toast
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 slices French bread
- 6 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- In advance, beat eggs in a shallow bowl with orange juice, sugar and salt. Dip bread into mixture, coating both sides. Place on baking sheet and freeze just until firm.
- Remove bread from freezer, wrap well and return to freezer, until you wish to serve it.
- Before serving, place bread slices in well-buttered shallow baking pan.
- Heat oven to 500 degrees F. Melt butter and drizzle over bread. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Turn and bake until golden, about 5 minutes more.
