Royal Icing

Use this for decorative icing. Use caution when using raw egg whites.


  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 egg white, unbeaten
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Dash of salt


  1. Add sugar gradually to egg white. Work together well with wooden spoon until smooth and shiny.
  2. Add lemon juice and salt; stir well.
