Walnut Filling

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or rum flavoring
  • 1 pound chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Mix eggs and sugar.
  2. Add milk. Cook in double boiler until thick.
  3. Cool.
  4. Add vanilla or rum flavor and the nuts.
  5. Spread between layers of cake.
