Chocolate Walnut Fruitcake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups mixed candied fruit, diced
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup pitted dates, thinly sliced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Mix; place in generously greased 9-inch tube pan.
  2. Bake at 300 degrees F for about 1 3/4 hours.
  3. Keep in refrigerator for one week before serving.
