Butterfinger Banana Cake

Banana and Nestlé Butterfinger candy add to the flavor and moistness of this delicious cake.

Butterfinger Banana Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix*
  • 2 medium, ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup total)
  • 3 (2.1 ounce) Nestlé Butterfinger Candy Bars, chopped, divided
  • 1 (16 ounce) container prepared white frosting

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare cake mix batter according to package directions.
  3. Stir in banana and 3/4 cup chopped Butterfinger. Pour into prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  5. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  6. Frost cake; sprinkle with remaining chopped Butterfinger.

Notes

* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16.5 ounce and 15.25 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss in a 16 ounce box, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe. To compensate for the volume loss in a 15.25 ounce box, add 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
