German Chocolate Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix*
  • 1 small box chocolate instant pudding
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 jar Milky Way ice cream topping (or caramel, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a Bundt pan.
  2. Combine first six ingredients and beat for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into prepared Bundt pan and swirl Milky Way ice cream topping through batter.
  4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  5. Cool for 25 minutes.
  6. Drizzle remaining ice cream topping over cooled cake.

Notes

* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16.5 ounce and 15.25 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss in a 16 ounce box, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe. To compensate for the volume loss in a 15.25 ounce box, add 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
